We are making some changes to help better accommodate our members.  We hope that these changes will help you all get to classes easier and improve your experience at CrossFit Annapolis.  We are doing the best we can to accommodate all of you so you can get to the classes you need and get the most from the programs.

This schedule will start next week on Monday, April 1st

Please NOTE the following changes:
-Afternoon CrossFit Classes will NOW BE ON THE HOUR (4pm, 5pm, 6pm, & 7pm)
-NEW ELEMENT CLASSES (Mondays at 5pm, Wednesdays at 6pm)*
-Added an additional afternoon class – Previously 3 Classes, NOW 4 Classes
-Endurance Classes will resume once the weather changes and the day/time may change so stay tuned for updates.

*You may be asking yourself what the heck is this NEW ELEMENTS CLASS.  Below you will find a brief description for you all to help you all get a better understanding of WHAT it is and WHY we have added this class.

Our Elements Class is focused on developing skill work, strength and building a solid foundation for general fitness.  The goal of this class is to help each member work towards mastering the “elements” needed to excel in our general CrossFit Classes.  Through attending, your confidence will grow as you progress through each movement methodically in order to attain the correct form for each movement.  The programming will differ from our general CrossFit classes, but will still be based off of the CrossFit Methodology.  Classes will consist of a period of Olympic Lift Training (Snatch, Clean and Jerk, Thrusters, Push Press, Power Clean, etc.), then a strength lift (Squat, Press, Deadlift), followed by a WOD consisting of standard CrossFit Movements.  This is not just for the beginner CrossFitter, for even the most seasoned CrossFitter could benefit from spending some extra time making sure they are achieving proper form and proficiency in the basics to help them reach that next level in their fitness.

*You may attend this class whether you have an unlimited membership or a 2x/week membership.

We are consistently trying to develop and implement programs that will enhance your experience at CrossFit Annapolis to better help YOU reach your goals.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding any of the changes, please comment below or speak to one of the coaches.

  1. I am very disappointed there are no longer classes offered after 6:30 on Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday and cannot make any class times earlier these days.

  2. I’m a bit confused too. I’m counting the same number of afternoon classes (regular WODs) per day too, except some days it’s 4,6, and 7 and other days it’s 4,5, and 6.

    I prefer the older schedule.

  3. Erin Ferner says:

Mike C- Previously we had 4:30pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm classes Mon-Thurs. There are now 4, 5, 6, and 7pm classes (four classes total) offered Mon and Wed and Tues and Thurs will have the same number as before (3 classes) at 4, 5, and 6pm. Elements is a regular WOD just with a bit more focus on improving general crossfit movements. Those who would like to attend will still get a workout in and very much consider it a regular WOD just different then the other programmed crossfit WOD. Rachel- this is sort of a trial start for our schedule change. We love to try to accommodate everyone (as hard as that can be sometimes!) and hope to be able to add in additional later class times on some other days as well besides Mon and Wed sooner than later. We are constantly working to adjust and improve as we can. If you all have any other questions or concerns, we are happy to listen in hopes we can address and implement changes that are positive for everyone at CFA. Shoot us an email anytime at Thank you! :)

  4. I understand :) Thanks Erin.

  5. RJZ (or RJ #2) says:

Like the new schedule and appreciate the effort of the Element classes. Still being relatively new to CF its a nice to attend skills class instead of requesting 1 v 1 time which can be prohibitively expensive.

Continue to find CFA to be much more proactive in training novice to intermediate CF than my previous two gyms.
