Simply, the programs offered at CrossFit Annapolis are designed to improve our members’ health and performance which align in whatever way that is most meaningful for their needs and desires.

Due to the varying degrees of personal goals and ability levels, our CrossFit classes are designed with the flexibility to meet those various needs. While not as specific as an individualized program designed just for you, our classes still allow our members to currently choose from two different paths to achieve their goals:

Fitness Program

For those who are looking to achieve a real world and functional fitness.  These workouts will help teach fundamental movement patterns and progress to very high levels of functional movements.  This is ideal for both those just starting out with CrossFit as well as those seeking long term improvement.  Athletes will be pushed through the utilization of gymnastics, weightlifting and metabolic conditioning  ultimately achieving a general, broad and functional fitness.  It is recommended that all athletes that have just concluded Foundations and/or have been doing CrossFit for less than 6 months exclusively utilize this program.


Performance Program

For those experienced athletes who are more interested in treating CrossFit as a sport, these workouts include a greater degree of intensity and complexity. This program is designed to help athletes develop the skill necessary to perform well in CrossFit and fitness competitions.   If you are in this program, you have mastered all of the basic CrossFit moves, have sufficient strength numbers, and have efficient form in the Olympic lifts.  If you’re looking to take your fitness to the next level, this is an excellent option.
